ArtHouse restaurant serves fine food prepared with the best and freshest local ingredients. The restaurant is a member of Slow Food U.S.A. which is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to supporting and celebrating the food traditions of North America. There are more than 75 local chapters, each one called a convivium. The newest one is in Des Moines, founded and organized by Neil and Khanh Hamilton. The organization
believes that pleasure and quality in everyday life can be achieved
by slowing down, respecting the convivial traditions of the table
and celebrating the diversity of the earth's bounty. The Des Moines
